I had the opportunity to attend a party this weekend named ‘Murder Mystery Mayhem Madness.’ It was held at a mansion in Park City and combined the game Clue and Murder in the Dark. The event’s attire was formal which presented me with occasion to dress up for it. I will never turn down the chance to glam up. I’ve had this Topshop dress since last Christmas but have not had a proper event to wear it to. As soon as I received my invite to the party, it was the first thing that popped in my mind.

I wanted to treat myself to really look and feel the part of my character for the game. I was a journalist in the market for a killer story. How appropriate, right? I had the talented Kelcie Billat style my hair with Hollywood glam curls. I sensed this party was taking place in a bit of a different era. I then made an appointment at the MAC counter at Macy’s for some dramatic smoky eyes (eye make up demos are free FYI). Of course I had to top it off with a classic red lip.

With being dolled up for my night of murder and clues lying ahead, how could I not take full advantage and have a blog post for it? I knew I had to! I was lucky that Christina MacArthur was able to squeeze me in for a studio shoot. It was my first like shoot and I feel she captured my personality for the party, perfectly.
